Saint Demetrios Church Remember Your Roots….and Honor Your Loved Ones

Dear Friends of Saint Demetrios Church "Lord I love the house where you dwell, the place where your glory resides". These words from the Psalm 26 and the Easter Hymn "In Churches Bless ye, God the Lord, from the springs of Israel", should always echo our hearts as we worship in our beautiful Church. A light tower of Orthodoxy in this part of New Jersey. With love, sacrifice and dedication, in honor of the Triune God and His beloved Saint Demetrios the Wondermaker, you created this beautiful community with understanding, faith and love. There was a tree in Eden, the Bible tells us, which was called the tree of life. Imitating that tree, we built one in the Narthex of our Church which will help us pay the mortgage so that we may continue to preach the Word of Salvation of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in this holy building where he lives and blesses us all. When we speak of the Church, it includes both the Church as well as the community center. In these buildings we are acquainted with each other and with God by attending the Divine Liturgy; our families and ourselves grow spiritually here. All these buildings are supported by those who believe what St. James says, "faith without action is a dead faith" (James 2:17). To eliminate the burden of this mortgage, we here at St. Demetrios have permanently placed the Tree of Life in the Narthex of the Church so that you can memorialize special events in your lives. With an engraved leaf, you can memorialize happy occasions of your loved ones and remember them when they have passed into eternal life. We hope that you will show your children and your grandchildren your family's name on our Tree of Life. The procedure is simple. Fill out an entire form for each leaf. The offering for an engraved leaf is $2,020, which can be paid entirely or in installments lasting up to two years. After all the payments are made the leaf will be placed on the Tree. Foundation stones at the base of the Tree are also available for a donation of $5,000 and $10,000, also paid in full or in installments over two-three years. We would love to have your family's name added to the St. Demetrios Tree of Life so that you can remember your roots, your loved ones and to help the mission of our Lord in this community. God Bless you always. I am sure you will be delighted to see your name on the walls of our Church and be blessed for ages and ages. With love in His service The Pastor
