Archimandrite Alexander Kile was born in Istanbul (Constantinople), Turkey, on February 5th 1956 from Argiris and Lilyanna. He finished his elementary education in the Greek educational system in Istanbul and then he enrolled in the private French Benedictine High School Saint Benoit.
In 1974 he immigrated to Toronto, Canada where he finished his High School Education at the French-Canadian High School of Etienne Brulee.
In I976 he enrolled to Hellenic College in Brookline, MA, and then continued his Theological Studies at the Aristotelian University, in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he graduated with honors from the School of Theology in 1985.
During His Studies in Greece He received the Scholarships of The Ecumenical Patriarchate, UNESCO, Taylor of the Greek Archdiocese of North and South America. The same year he went back to Toronto Canada and worked as lay assistant in All Saints Greek orthodox Church.
On September 13th 1986, he was tontured monk and on September 14 was ordained deacon by His Grace Bishop Timothy of Detroit in Farmingville, Detroit.
On December 1986 Rev. Kile was ordained priest at Saint Spyridon, Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York, by His Grace Bishop Philotheos of Meloa. He was assigned as a second priest to that parish.
On December 25 1990, while serving as Dean of the Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helen in Brooklyn New York, upon the order of His Eminence Archbishop Iakovos of North and South America, he was elevated to the rank of Archimandrite by His Grace Bishop Philotheos of Meloa.

He speaks five languages fluently and he is in command of two. English, French, Bulgarian, Turkish, Greek and the two other are Russian and Serbian.
Father Alex Passes On at Age 56
With deepest sorrow, we announce the falling asleep in the Lord of the Very Reverend Archimandrite Alexander Kile. Father Alex -- presiding priest of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox parish in Union, NJ -- passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012.
On February 20, Archimandrite Alexander Kile was seriously injured in a car accident. Father Alex was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ and was recovering from his injuries. After some major complications, Father Alex was placed in the Critical Care Section in late April and, with the Grace of God, as of May 22, 2012 was back in a regular room. Father Alex was born in Istanbul (Constantinople), Turkey, on February 5th 1956
